Lewisburg, Pa. (March 18, 2015) – The Mount St. Mary's women's tennis team could not overcome a slow start in Wednesday's 5-2 road loss at Bucknell.

The Mountaineers (5-5) won two singles matches after falling in all three of the doubles matches. Bucknell (3-9) went on to take four of the singles matches to pull away.

At the No. 4 singles slot, freshman Cassandra Powell (Vienna, W.Va.) dropped the first set before coming back to earn a 4-6, 6-1, 10-5 victory. Jennifer Smith (Davenport, Wash.) was also a 7-6 (9-7), 6-2 winner at the No. 6 position.

Mount St. Mary's will play a home match versus UMES on Saturday, March 21.
