Towson Invitational

EMMITSBURG, Md. (September 23, 2026) – This Friday (Sept. 25) Mount St. Mary's Women's Tennis will be competing in their first set of matches of the 2026-2027 year, taking their talent to Towson, MD to compete in the Towson Hidden Duals. The matches are held at the Tiger Tennis Complex and teams will be using standard formatting for each hidden dual match. This will consist of four singles and one doubles match. All matches will be best of three sets and a super tiebreaker used in the third set. The Mountaineers are ready to serve up a strong start to the tennis season as they hit the courts in Towson!

MOUNT UPDATE: The Mountaineers open the season with 18 student-athletes on their roster – divided into 10 men and 8 women, only 3 of them being true freshmen. The Tennis team is led by Coach Leandros Misdrachis who is heading into his third season as a coach with an overall record of 37-48. The Men will compete in five different weekend tournaments over the course of the fall season, and the Women will complete in six. This includes the Metro Masters as well as the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Atlantic Regional. The men finished strong in their first tournament of the year at Loyola, sweeping the weekend in doubles play and winning all of the overall matches.

UP NEXT: The Mountaineers will head to Baltimore, MD to compete in the Loyola Invitational from Friday, October 2nd through Sunday, October 4th. Select athletes will be heading to Hamden, CT to participate in the Metro Masters from Friday, October 2nd through Sunday, October 4th.
