Emmitsburg, Md. (February 24, 2015)--Mount St. Mary's saw its fourth-quarter rally come up just short in an 11-10 loss to visiting Delaware at Waldron Family Stadium on Tuesday afternoon.  Sophomore Spencer Smith (Scottsdale, Ariz.) paced the Mount with a career-high four goals in the game.

Delaware's Zach Runberg scored an extra-man goal 17 seconds into the fourth quarter before the Mount rallied.  Evan Gormley (Mentor, Ohio) ripped a shot past Delaware goalkeeper Brett Anton to cut the deficit to 11-8 with 12:32 left in the game.

Smith's fourth goal of the contest made it a two-goal game, and Lamon cut it to 11-10 with his second goal of the game with 5:17 left.

After a Delaware turnover, the Mount had a pair of chances to even the score, but Moynihan shot high, and Anton saved a shot from Jones with 3:09 remaining.

The Blue Hens worked the clock, but turned the ball over with 1:28 remaining on a shot clock violation, giving the Mount a chance to tie.

Gormley shot high with 50 seconds left with the Mount retaining possession.  The Blue Hens were then called for a penalty with eight seconds on the clock, but the Mount was unable to get a game-tying shot off in the closing seconds.
