Mount St. Mary's Women's Track Has Strong Performances at Navy Lid-Lifter

Annapolis, Md. (December 1, 2015)--The Mount St. Mary's University women's indoor track and field team had several strong performances in their season-opening meet at Navy on Tuesday night.

Elissa Ingram took home first-place honors in the pole vault with a winning height of 3.45m (11' 3.75").  Helena Leyrer won the 60m hurdles with a time of 8.93 seconds, good for fourth-place on the Mount's all-time top 10 list.

Genamarie McCant finished in second place in the 500m dash with a mark of 1:15.24 while Virginia Owusu-Mainoo was second in the weight throw with a mark of 14.86m (48' 9").

The Mount will not return to the track until after the New Year.
