Jessica Whitmore Wins 60m Dash to Pace Mount Women's Track at Navy Invitational

Annapolis, Md. (January 8, 2015)-Jessica Whitmore won the 60m dash to lead the Mount St. Mary's women's indoor track and field team at the Navy Invitational on Thursday night.

Whitmore took first place in the 60m dash with a time of 7.76 seconds. Freshman Moriah Fitzgerald finished in second place in the pole vault with a mark of 3.45m while Sara Gardner placed third in the high jump (1.55m). Virginia Owuso-Mainoo had a strong meet, finishing third in both the shot put and the weight throw.

The Mount is back in action on Saturday, January 24, at the Bucknell Gulden Invitational.
