Julian Woods Advances to NCAA Quarterfinals in the 400m Hurdles

Jacksonville, Fla. (May 29, 2014)-- Mount St. Mary's freshman Julian Woods advanced to the NCAA quarterfinals in the 400m hurdles on Thursday at the NCAA East Preliminary held at the University of North Florida.  Heather Juhring also competed in the javelin for the Mount on Thursday.

Woods finished third in his heat to advance to the national quarterfinals.  His time of 52.13 seconds was 24th overall.  Woods will now compete on Friday at 7:30 p.m., with the top 12 finishers in the semifinals advancing to the NCAA Finals.

Heather Juhring, competing in the NCAA's for the third consecutive year, had a throw of 44.21m (145-0) in the javelin.
