Galligan, Juhring Earn All-East Honors, Rosemier-Gussio and Woods Advance to Finals at IC4A/ECAC Championships

Princeton, N.J. (May 17, 2014)--Heather Juhring earned All-East honors in the javelin on Saturday while Kristen Galligan posted All-East honors late Friday to headline the Mount track teams at the ECAC/IC4A Championships at Princeton.

In addition, Coby Rosemier-Gussio qualified for Sunday's finals in both the 100m and 200m dash, while Julian Woods earned a spot in Sunday's final in the 400m hurdles.  Both Rosemier-Gussio and Woods have clinched All-East honors by advancing to tomorrow's finals.

Late Friday, Galigan posted All-East honors by finishing in eighth place in the 10,000m run with a time of 36:05.13.  On Saturday, Juhring's toss of 43.26 (141-9) in the javelin was good for eighth place and All-East honors.

Rosemier-Gussio had a tremendous day, earning his spot in the 100m dash finals with a time of 10.68 seconds in the semifinals.  Rosemier-Gussio had a time of 10.83 seconds in the preliminaries to move to the semis.

In the 200m dash, Rosemier-Gussio had the seventh-fastest qualifying time at 21.39 seconds to advance to tomorrow's final.

Woods posted the fourth-fast time (52.74) in the preliminary round in the 400m hurdles to advance to the final on Sunday. 

Madeleine Midles continued her record-breaking season, topping her own school mark in the hammer throw with a toss of 52.30m (171' 3").  Midles finished 15th overall.  Maria Borland posted a time of 2:09.10 in the 800m run, good for second all-time in the Mount record book.  Borland finished 14th overall.

Other Mountaineers to compete on Saturday included Jessica Whimore in the 100m dash, Kelly Yanucil in the javelin, the Mount's women's 4x400m relay squad, and Josh Poole in the 400m dash.
