Philadelphia, Pa. (April 25, 2014)--The Mount St. Mary's track and field teams competed at the Penn Relays on Friday.
Freshman Kelly Yanucil finished in fifth place in the college division of the javelin. Her throw of 43.58m (142' 11") improves on her #2 all-time mark at the Mount.
The men's 4x400m relay team of Josh Poole, Julian Woods, Jaime Gibilisco and Coby Rosemier-Gussio finished second in their heat with a time of 3:16.72. The quartet finished 40th overall in the field of 89 teams.
Woods finished 17th in the 400m hurdles earlier in the day, posting a time of 53.18 seconds.
The Mountaineers return to action on May 3-4 at the Northeast Conference Championships, which will be held at Robert Morris University in Moon Township, Pa.
