Philadelphia, Pa. (April 26, 2013)—Heather Juhring set a school record while finishing in eighth place in the javelin at the Penn Relays today.
Juhring had a toss of 44.55m (146' 1") to finish in eighth place in the field. Her mark is a new school record.
Freshman Elissa Ingram finished tied for 16th in the field of 22 competitors in the women's college pole vault. Ingram cleared a height of 3.50m (11' 5.75"). Helena Leyrer was 47th with a time of 1:03.53 in the 400m hurdles for the Mountaineers.
4x400m relay team of Genamarie McCant, Leyrer, Desi Scott and Katie Crumbaugh finished third in its heat with a time of 3:56.31, good for 51st in the field of 79.
The Mount's Jon Fernandez will compete in the javelin on Saturday.
