Mount Men's and Women's Track & Field team set to compete at Bucknell Team Challenge

The Mount St. Mary's men's and women's outdoor track and field team return to action Saturday as they head to the Bucknell Team Challenge. The challenge is scheduled to begin at 9:30 a.m at the Kenneth Langone Athletics & Recreation Center at Bucknell University.

LAST YEAR AT BUCKNELL: At last year's Bucknell Team Challenge, Jon Fernandez finished third in the javelin and went on to earn an IC4A qualifying mark.  Tommy Gruschow took fourth place in the 800m run while Chris Swisko followed closely behind him, coming in seventh. Zachary Lesieur also placed seventh in the 110m hurdles while Brian Houdek took second in the 400m hurdles and Alan Coulson took fifth in discus.

On the women's side, Heather Juhring was fifth in the javelin with Megan Kinsella placing fifth in the 3000m run.  Teika Robinson earned fourth in the triple jump and seventh in the long jump while Chantel Lipkins was third in the long jump. Morgan Ostasewski placed seventh in the discus and Madeleine Midles took fourth in the hammer throw.

NEXT UP: The Mount will have athletes at the Penn Relays (April 26-28), and then is headed to the Northeast Conference Championships on May 4-5 in West Long Branch, N.J.
