Gigi Gibilisco Finishes 18th in 800m Run in the NCAA Quarterfinals at the East Preliminary Round

Jacksonville, Fla. (May 25, 2012)--Senior Gigi Gibilisco finished in 18th place in the NCAA Quarterfinals in the 800m run at the NCAA East Preliminary Round on Friday night.

Gibilisco posted a time of 1:49.88 to finish in seventh place in the second heat of the quarterfinal round. Overall, his time was 20th in the field of 27 runners. The top three in each of the three quarterfinal rounds plus the next three fastest times earned a spot to the NCAA finals.

Gibilisco's time also ranked 33rd in the nation as only 15 runners from the West Preliminary Round beat his time.
