Mount Track Competed at the Bucknell Team Challenge on Saturday

COMPLETE RESULTS

Lewisburg, Pa. (April 21, 2012)--Dylan Bernard finished in second place to lead the Mount St. Mary's track and field teams at the Bucknell Team Challenge on Saturday.

Bernard finished in second place with his time of 8:36.42 in the 3000m.  Brian Houdek was second in the 400m hurdles as well for the Mount.

Jon Fernandez finished third in the javelin with a toss of 60.61m, an IC4A qualifying mark.  Tommy Gruschow was fourth and Chris Swisko seventh in the 800m run with Zachary Lesieur placing seventh in the 110m hurdles.  Alan Coulson had a fifth-place mark in the discus as well.

For the women, Heather Juhring was fifth in the javelin with a toss of 42.52m with Megan Kinsella placing fifth in the 3000m run.  Teika Robinson was fourth in the triple jump (11.32m) and seventh in the long jump while Chantel Lipkins was third in the long jump with a leap of 5.49m.  Maggie Pierce was sixth and Morgan Ostasewski seventh in the discus with Madeleine Midles posting a fourth-place mark in the hammer throw.

The Mount will compete in the Penn Relays next week before hosting the Northeast Conference Championships at the Morgan Track on campus on May 5 and 6.
