Annapolis, Md. (December 6, 2012)--Chantel Lipkins won the long jump to pace the Mount St. Mary's women's indoor track and field team at the season-opening Navy Lid Lifter on Thursday night.

Lipkins had a mark of 5.61m to best the field of 27 participants to take home first place honors in the long jump.

Morgan Ostasewski was third in the weight throw (14.68m) while Elissa Ingram was third in the pole vault (3.30m).  Ali Donahue was seventh in the the weight throw with Virginia Owuso-Mainoo taking home eighth place in the shot put.

Helena Leyrer was sixth in the 60m hurdles while Megan Kinsella and McKenzie Doyle finished fourth and fifth, respectively, in the 5000m run.  Colleen Smith was sixth in the 3000m.  Genamarie McCant was fourth and Leyrer eighth in the 400m dash while Lipkins placed seventh in the 60m dash.  Teika Robinson was fifth in the triple jump (10.99m).

The Mount is back in action on Saturday, January 5, at the Bucknell Mini Meet.
