Mount Track Teams Have Several Standout Performances at the Bucknell Mini Meet.

The Mount St. Mary's men's and women's indoor track and field teams returned to action on Saturday at the Bucknell Mini Meet at the Gerhard Fieldhouse.

Desi Scott took home first place in the mile run with a time of 5:14.08 to pace the Mount runners. Teika Robinson finished in first place in the triple jump (11.21m) while placing second in the long jump (5.42m) to teammate Chantel Lipkins (5.56m). Morgan Ostasewicz won the weight throw with a toss of 15.84 meters while placing third in the shot put.

For the men, Coby Rosemier-Gussio won the long jump (6.79m) while Tom FitzSimons had a strong meet, finishing second in the high jump (1.94m), third in the pole vault (4.35m)

Quinton Huguley was third in the 60m dash (7.28) and second in the long jump (6.61m) with Billy Lawrence placing fourth in the high jump at 1.89m. Jon Fernandez finished in third in the weight throw (15.74m) with a school record mark for the Mountaineers.

The Mount returns to action at the Navy Invitational next weekend.
