Mount Men's 4x400 Relay Team Puts in Top Peformance at Bucknell Gulden Invitational

Lewisburg, Pa. (January 21, 2012)—The Mount St. Mary's men's 4x400-meter relay team finished in first place with an IC4A qualifying time to pace the men's and women's indoor track and field teams at the Bucknell Gulden Invitational.

The Mount's quartet of Coby Rosemier-Gussio, Jamie Gibilisco, Tom FitzSimons and Gigi Gibilisco had a time of 3:19.03 to capture first place in the event.

Rosemier-Gussio had a strong overall meet for the Mount, finishing third in the 200m dash (22.29), posting the fifth-fastest qualifying time the 60m dash (7.01) and finishing fourth in the long jump at 6.88 meters.

FitzSimons also had a good day for the Mountaineers, finishing third in the high jump (1.80m) while qualifying for the finals in the 60m hurdles with a time of 8.73 seconds.

Scott Rice finished tied for second with a mark of 4.35 meters in the pole vault.

Desi Scott was second in the 500m dash (1:16.91) and Teika Robinson was second in the long jump (5.50m) to lead the Mount women's team.  Morgan Ostasewski had a third-place finish with her toss of 15.95 meters in the weight throw.

The Mount is back in action at both the Penn State National Invitational and the George Mason Patriot Games next weekend.
