Philadelphia, Pa. (April 30, 2011)-The Mount St. Mary's women's 4x400m relay team of Ashlyn DeCruise, Lily Otu, Desi Scott and Ashley DeCruise finished in third place in the ECAC final at the Penn Relays today.

The 4x400m relay team posted a school-record time of 3:40.59 to finish in third place behind Hampton and Georgetown.

Yesterday, the men's 4x100m relay team of Quinton Huguley, Chris Brewington, Tyler Swope and Tom FitzSimons finished 42^nd in the field of 82 teams with a mark of 42.38.  The Mount was sixth in its heat that included LSU and Tennessee.

The men's 4x400m relay team of Jason Kymingham, Gigi Gibilisco, Brewington and FitzSimons finished 38^th in the field with a time of 3:18.45, winning its heat.

Quinton Huguley was 20^th in the Eastern long jump with a leap of 6.65m (21' 9.5"). 

Thursday, the Mount St. Mary's women's 4x400 meter relay team qualified for the ECAC Final.  The Mount's quartet of Ashlyn DeCruise, Otu, Scott and Ashley DeCruise ran a time of 3:45.53 to finish 23rd in the field of 81 teams. 

The Mount won its heat that included Morgan State, Long Island, Delaware State, Norfolk State, Florida International, Virginia State, Winston-Salem State and Elon.  The Mountaineers will now compete in the 4x400m ECAC Final on Saturday, April 30, at 5:40 p.m.

The Mount's 4x100m relay team of Chantel Lipkins, Ashlyn DeCruise, Otu and Ashley DeCruise finished 40th in the field of 86 teams with a time of 47.51 seconds.  The Mountaineers finished sixth in their heat which included LSU, Tennessee, Mississippi State, James Madison, Howard, Fairleigh Dickinson, UMBC and Connecticut.
