Desi Scott Wins 800m to Pace Women's Indoor Track and Field at Navy Lidlifter

Annapoils, Md. (December 1, 2011)--Desi Scott won the 800m dash to lead the Mount St. Mary's women's indoor track and field team at the Navy Lidlifter to open the 2011-12 season.

Scott took home first with a time of 2:17.17 in the 800m run to lead the Mountaineers. Chantel Lipkins had a strong meet, finishing third in the 60m dash (8.02), third in the long jump (5.28m) and fifth in the triple jump (10.97m).

Morgan Ostasewski was fifth in the weight throw, Teika Robinson fifth in the long jump and Jessica Huber fifth in the pole vault as well for the Mountaineers.

Mount St. Mary's returns to action on January 7 at the Bucknell Mini-Meet.
