Women's Soccer Blanks Lafayette, 2-0

Easton, Pa. (September 23, 2007)--Colleen Regan (Crofton, Md./Archbishop Spalding) and Kelli Devine (Leonardtown, Md./Leonardtown) each scored to lead Mount St. Mary's to a 2-0 non-conference win at Mike Bourger '44 Field at Oaks Stadium on Sunday afternoon. Goalkeeper Anna Lebo (Walkersville, Md./Walkersville) made three saves for the shutout victory.

Regan provided the game's first goal when she lofted a shot from 25 yards out past Lafayette goalkeeper Brittany Futterknecht for a 1-0 lead just four minutes into the game. The Mount (2-6) maintained that margin at the half.

Devine's first goal of the season in the 74th minute sealed the win. Devine took advantage of Lafayette's inability to clear the ball and converted a shot from 20 yards out to give the Mount a two-goal edge.

Lebo made three saves to earn the shutout, giving her seven for her career and matching Tania Bruno's school record for career shutouts.

The Mount outshot the Leopards (2-6) 11-to-5 in the game, including 7-to-2 in the second half.

Mount St. Mary's returns to action on Friday, Sept. 28, with a 3:00 p.m. game against Lehigh at Waldron Family Stadium on campus.
