MEET INFORMATION
EMMITSBURG, Md. (May 15, 2026) – Four members of the Mount St. Mary's track & field team look to secure a spot in the NCAA Championships East First Round, traveling for one final shot at High Point's Dani Palooza Last Chance.
Graduate student
Dante Elliott, junior
Tyler Cash, and sophomores
Camryn Jones-Howard and
Ethan Demeter are making the trip.
High jump is the first event, beginning at 11 a.m., followed by the pole vault and the long and triple jumps.
MOUNT UPDATE
- Mount St. Mary's men's outdoor track & field won the 2026 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Outdoor Track & Field Championship last weekend, marking the first win for the program since 2018. The women's team finished in second place.
- Elliot finished second in the high jump at the MAAC Championship, reaching a height of 2.05 meters. He came within .02 meters of his personal best, and the mark ranks 79th among NCAA East competitors.
- Jones-Howard set the school record in the triple jump at 12.55 meters, which also serves as a MAAC Championship record. She had previously set the school record in the long jump at 6.11 meters at the IC4A/ECAC Championships. At present, she is tied 69th in the East for long jump and 71st for the triple.
- Cash and Demeter finished 1-2 in the pole vault, each earning 5.05 meters. Cash used fewer attempts to reach the mark to take the top spot on the podium. Demeter has the higher number for the season, hitting 5.11 meters – the third best mark in program history. Entering the weekend, Demeter is 58th in the event and Cash is 72nd.
FUTURE MEETS
- Qualified athletes will head to the NCAA Championships First Round East, starting May 27 in Lexington, Kentucky.
