EMMITSBURG, Md. (April 15, 2026) – Mount St. Mary's flag football linebacker
Madison Kean was named First Team All-Conference Carolinas, announced by the league on Wednesday.
Excelling in her freshman season, Kean is the leading tackler for the Mountaineers, with 89 solo tackles and three assists for a total of 92. She also added six interceptions and a sack.
Her best individual game came at Chowan on April 4, when she registered 17 tackles, including two for losses, and secured two interceptions. The game was pivotal in the Mount's clinching a spot in the Conference Carolinas Championship. Kean also secured a game sealing interception for the Mount to defeat Saint Joseph's. She registered a second double digit tackle game as well, helping Mount St. Mary's defeat Mount Olive.
Entering as the No. 8 seed for the Conference Carolinas Championship, the Mount battles No. 1 Wingate on Friday (Apr. 17) at noon from Durham, North Carolina.
