EMMITSBURG, Md. (April 25, 2026) – With one victory and three defeats, all by narrow margins, Mount St. Mary's flag football completed its inaugural regular season. The team beat Mercyhurst 7-0, fell to the Lakers 13-0 later in the day, and dropped 12-0 and 20-19 decisions to Franciscan. All games were played at Saxon Stadium on Mercyhurst's campus in Erie, Pennsylvania.
The Mount finishes 8-14 in the regular season and went 6-6 in Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference (ECAC).
Jayanna Goines scored the touchdown that served as the game winner. The pass came from
Annabelle Haught in the first quarter.
Alyssa Lane played a huge role as the Mount nearly pulled off the comeback in the finale against Franciscan, scoring twice and earning one interception for 36 yards.
Madison Kean shined on defense with 22 tackles scattered throughout the four games, bringing her season total to 119. Both Haught and
Jenna Dick threw enough yards to cross the threshold of 1,000 yards the season.
