EMMITSBURG, Md. (March 19, 2026) – Mount St. Mary's flag football plays games at Ferrum, Virginia this weekend. The team faces the host Ferrum Panthers to start before challenging the Emmanuel Lions, which will open Conference Carolinas games.
MOUNT UPDATE
- The Mountaineers are set to compete in their first contests since March 7, where they fell to Wagner twice.
- Games against Mount Olive and Barton – which would have served as the Conference Carolinas opener – were postponed on March 14.
- The team is off to a 3-2 start, with a 3-1 record towards ECAC play. Mount has defeated Mercy, Kean, and Penn State Schuylkill. Keira Speikes was the leading rusher from those wins and Jayanna Goines was the leading receiver.
UPCOMING SCHEDULE
Next week sees a six-game marathon for the Mountaineers due to the rescheduled games. The Mount faces Mount Olive (Mar. 26), Barton (Mar. 27), Mars Hill and Lees-McRae (Mar. 28), and King and Ferrum (Mar. 29). All games count towards Conference Carolinas standings.
