MOUNT UPDATE
After a 3-3 tie played out in the first quart of the game against Biola, the Mountaineers broke out in the second quarter, with the Mount posting five goals in the second quarter while only allowing three. Both teams scored five goals in the third quarter while Biola outscored Mount St. Mary's 3-2 in the fourth, holding out for the win in the end, much in thanks to the scoring during the fourth quarter.
Lotte Schreurs and
Anna Kegel both scored four goals each while Schreurs recorded two assists and three completed steals, drawing four exclusions in the process.
Leilani Horan notched a hat trick during the first game of the day while
Lucia Redaelli,
Emily Hatcher,
Kiele Davidson, and
Claire Gebhardt all scored one goal each.
Olivia Fernie made six saves for the Mount in the cage against Biola.
The Mountaineers held a narrow 2-1 lead through halftime against Fullerton, tying the first quarter at 1-1 while edging the Titans 1-0 during the second quarter. Fullerton clawed their way back in the third, outscoring the Mount 2-1 while getting the winning goal in the fourth quarter to round out the game.
Schreurs led the Mount scoring efforts once more, scoring two against the Titans while Kegel and Hatcher all recorded one goal each.
Natalie Marquiss recorded four completed steals against Fullerton while Davidson notched three steals against the Titans. Fernie once more recorded six saves in goal for the Mount during game two of the weekend.
Against Whittier in game one of the day, the Mountaineers jumped out to an early 6-0 lead through the opening moments of the first quarter, with

Leilani Horan,
Kiele Davidson,
Claire Gebhardt all got on the scores heet for a 5-0 first quarter lead.
Gebhardt completed her hat trick to start the quarter with two goals followed by another goal from Davidson to take 8-1 lead through the first six minutes of the second quarter. Whittier scored one more before Gebhardt scored a double before time elapsed in the second quarter, sending the Mount into halftime with a 10-2 lead.
Abigail Benavidez got the third quarter started, scoring two minutes into the third quarter.
Breanna Wood scored in the third off a power play while Gebhardt found the net for the fifth and final time to complete her five goal day before Davidson scored once more, sending the Mount into the final intermission up 14-4.
Benavidez scored to start the third for the Mount while Schreurs scored again to make it 16-5 with five minutes left in the game. Schreurs scored one more time for the Mountaineers, rounding out a resounding win in game three of the California tour for the Mount.
In game four of the weekend against Chapman, Schreurs and Davidson combine for an early 2-1 lead in the first quarter. Schreurs found the net twice in the second while Horan scored during the quarter to give the Mount a 5-3 lead at halftime.

Natalie Marquiss got the second half started with goals while Marquiss added a second goal to send the Mount into the final intermission up 10-4. Chapman scored to open the fourth before Wood found the net for the Mount again before Marquiss completed her hat trick with six minutes left in the game. Marquiss found the net two more times before the Mount rounded out the win at the final siren to notch their third win in California.

Having lost their first two contests against the Keydets, the Mountaineers are currently on a four-game win-streak against VMI, with their last game on March 14, 2025 ending in a 14-10 win for Mount St. Mary's.
