EMMITSBURG, Md. (February 9, 2026) – Mount St. Mary's women's water polo played three regular season contests at the VMI Invite in Lexington, Virginia over the weekend. The Mountaineers fell to Saint Francis 18-9, Bucknell 14-6, and Salem 17-10.
 
Anna Kegel posted goals in all three games, including a hat trick against the Bison to account for half of the Mount's offense for that contest. Kiele Davidson registered multi-goal efforts against Bucknell and Davidson while Emily Hatcher, Claire Gebrhart, and Taylor Wilson did the same versus SFU.
 
Goalies Olivia Fernie and Dani Cervantes combined for 32 saves across the three games. Fernie alone had 13 saves in the Salem game.

Mount St. Mary's travels to Ann Arbor, Michigan for the Midwest Invitational February 14-15. The team will face Indiana, Mercyhurst, McKendree, and Michigan.
