EMMITSBURG, Md. (February 27, 2026) – Saturday serves as the regular season finale for Mount St. Mary's women's basketball, and a first round bye at the upcoming Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Championship is at stake.

Before the game, the Mount will honor five members of the team on Senior Day – Zaria Harleaux, Deniz Torgut, Mikaela Parris, Giana Hoddinott, and Jaedyn Jamison.

THE MAAC PICTURE
  • Mount St. Mary's clinches a first round bye and will be either the #5 seed or #6 seed at the MAAC Championship.
  • A loss does not necessarily push the team outside of a first round bye, but they could drop as far as eighth place.
MOUNT UPDATE
  • Four different Mountaineers posted double figures as the squad defeated Sacred Heart, 66-61, this past Thursday at Knott Arena. Amber Bullard led with 16 points, followed by Alana Powell with 14. Nyodie Guerard tied a career high with 11 points, and Hoddinott added 10 more.
  • By creating turnovers and getting to the free throw line, Mount St. Mary's were able to win despite having a lower free throw percentage and less rebounds.
  • The team earned its 10th MAAC win in the process, allowing them to win half their games or more in three out of its four years in the league.
SCOUTING THE BRONCS
  • Picked last in the conference preseason poll, Rider proved more competitive than the prediction. However, the Broncs were eliminated from playoff contention Thursday.
  • Kristina Ekofo leads in points per game at 11.3, and scored 32 in the Broncs' recent matchup with the Mountaineers.
  • Aliya McIver is Rider's statistical leader for almost everything else – rebounds (6.1 per game), assists (3.5), and steals (2.1).

ALL-TIME SERIES

Saturday marks the 32nd occurrence between Mount St. Mary's and Rider. The Mount leads 24-7 and are 6-1 in MAAC games against the Broncs. For games at Knott Arena, the Mountaineers have won 17 out of 18 times.
