Mount Bowling Heads to Nashville Seeking Second Straight USBC Nationals Bid

EMMITSBURG, Md. (February 19, 2026) - Mount St. Mary's bowling was selected to compete in the Smyrna, Tennessee sectional qualifier of the Intercollegiate Team Championships, the United States Bowling Congress (USBC) announced this week. The event, running from March 13-15 across four separate locations, invites the top-80 male and female programs according to the USBC Collegiate point ranking system.

Last season in Allen Park, Michigan, the Mount finished third to advance to the USBC Nationals for the third time in program history. The team defeated Sacred Heart, Central Missouri, and SCAD-Savannah before falling in the double elimination bracket.

In addition to NCAA programs, the post-season event includes teams from the NAIA, NJCAA, and USBC Collegiate Club governing bodies. The top four teams from each section will advance to the ITC national championships April 13-18 in Green Bay, Wisconsin.

Teams will compete in 64 baker games over the course of two days with total pinfall determining the top four advancing teams. There will also be a singles competition on Friday, known as the Intercollegiate Singles Championships. Prior to Tennessee, the ladies will head to North Carolina for the Stallings Invitational, hosted by North Carolina A&T State from February 27-March 1.
