EMMITSBURG, Md. (April 10, 2026) – Mount St. Mary's senior bowler
Aliza Shirk was named Third Team All-American by the National Tenpin Coaches Association (NTCA) on Thursday.
Shirk excelled in her ultimate campaign for the Blue, Gold, and White, averaging 20.90 per frame in Baker play and 20.37 in traditional play. That equates with an 86.7 fill percentage for the former and 84 percent for the latter. For both categories of play, Shirk tallied a strike more than 50 percent of the time.
Her best individual outing came during the team's victorious run at the Garden State Classic, achieving a 90-plus percent fill rate over 131 completed frames. Out of 47 makeable spare chances, she made 44.
Shirk becomes the fourth player in Mount St. Mary's bowling history to earn All-American status, joining Rebecca Dodson, Tamera Stanton, and Alyssa Alexander.
Mount St. Mary's finished the 2025-26 campaign with a 61-36 record.
