EMMITSBURG, Md. (February 20, 2026) – Mount St. Mary's men's lacrosse heads to Easton, Pennsylvania for the first time since 2010, taking on the Lafayette Leopards.
MOUNT UPDATE
- Seven different Mountaineers scored last Tuesday in the team's 13-10 win over Queens. Chris Grimaldi led the scoring with four goals and Brody Atkinson posted a hat trick in his first game of the season.
- Kevin Whitty contributed four assists and stayed atop the Mount's leaderboard in points with 11. Grimaldi has the most goals with 10. Sean Center-Wilhelm and Dylan Sander share the lead for caused turnovers with three each, and Bennett Wright has 21 saves.
SCOUTING THE LEOPARDS
- Lafayette is 2-2 this season and fell 9-8 to Drexel in their last game. They have wins over Binghamton and NJIT.
- Averaging 12 goals per game, the Leopards are led by Benjamin DiBattista with 15 strikes to the net this year. Nicholas Blalock has the most assists with six and is one of three Leopards with double digit points alongside DiBattista and Aiden Koppen.
- The team was picked fifth in the Patriot League preseason poll.
ALL-TIME SERIES
The teams played a home-and-home series in 2009 and 2010. Each side won on the opposing turf, with the Leopards winning 10-8 in Emmitsburg in '09 and Mount winning 14-12 in Easton in '10.
