EMMITSBURG, Md. (February 21, 2026) – Mount St. Mary's men's lacrosse fell to the Lafayette Leopards on Saturday by a 19-5 final. The team now stands at 1-2 this season.
The highlight of the day for the Mountaineers came from
Nate Committee, who scored with a cross-court shot for the Mount's first goal of the game.
Brody Atkinson scored two goals, and
Marcelo Carreiro and
Owen Fasulka each scored once.
Lafayette received six goals from the stick of John Heaney.
HOW THE GAME UNFOLDED
- Lafayette set the tone from the get-go by posting the first six goals. Committee's long-distance shot prevented the shutout.
- The Leopards also repeated the process to lead 11-2 at half. They would indeed shut out the Mount with a 5-0 third quarter.
- With the game decided, the Mount added in three late goals. Both of Atkinson's scores came in this span.
