Box Score Elon, N.C. (February 13, 2026)—Mount St. Mary's lost to Dayton, 10-1, on Friday morning at the Elon Phoenix Invitational.
The Mount (1-2) got on the board first with a run in the top of the first inning.
Gina Del Giorno singled to lead off the game, moving to second on a Dayton error. She moved to third on a pop out.
Tristin Koerner walked ahead of another pop out, putting runners on the corners with two outs.
Kelsie Bandelow then continued her hot start to the year, singling to left to bring home Del Giorno for the 1-0 lead.
Dayton (4-1) responded in the bottom of the first, plating four runs on three hits, a walk and an error. Juliana Gonzalez had a two-run single to give the Flyers a 4-1 lead. Dayton added to the lead with three runs in the second, including Isabella Calinski's home run to lead off the frame. Deirdre Flaherty's bases loaded double in the third pushed the lead to 10-1.
NOTES
- This was the first meeting between the Mount and Dayton since a 9-0 victory by the Flyers on March 8, 2002.Dayton is now 2-0 all-time against the Mountaineers.
- Freshman Erin Cromwell made her collegiate debut, starting for the Mount in the circle.
- Bandelow has a team-high five RBI this season.
- Emmaleigh Zagrodnicheck allowed one run in two innings of relief.
