EMMITSBURG, Md. (February 10, 2026) – Following an exceptional effort at the IC4A/ECAC Championships, Mount St. Mary's sophomore Ethan Demeter won the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Men's Field Performer of the Week, announced by the league on Tuesday.
 
Demeter was the men's pole vault champion at IC4A, earning a mark of 4.90 meters to win the event.
 
Saturday's pole vault is the latest in a series of high marks for the Tennessean. In fact, Demeter has reached 4.90 meters on two prior occasions. On January 31, he earned 5.05 meters – a mark which continues to lead the MAAC and ranks third on the Mount's all-time indoor program record book.
 
Mount St. Mary's heads to the MAAC Championships, beginning on Saturday, February 21 in New York City.
