Edison, N.J. (January 26, 2026)--Mount St. Mary's junior Brody Atkinson has been named Presesaon All-Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference at the attack position, as selected by a preseason poll of the league's coaches.  In addition, the Mount has been picked to finish fifth in the annual preseason coaches poll.

Atkinson, a Second Team All-MAAC honoree last year, led the Mount with 36 goals while adding six assists and 14 ground balls last season.  He tallied five hat tricks on the season, including a six-goal effort against Quinnipiac and a five-goal performance against Monmouth.

Defending champion Siena was tabbed as the preseason favorite, followed by Marist, Sacred Heart, Quinnipiac, Mount St. Mary's, Canisius, Merrimack, Manhattan and Iona.

Mount St. Mary's opens the 2026 season on Saturday, January 31, at home against Queens.
