EMMITSBURG, Md. (September 4, 2025) – Kickoff of the Mount St. Mary's men's soccer home slate comes Friday evening, as the Mountaineers welcome the La Salle Explorers.
MOUNT UPDATE
The final 10 minutes proved unfriendly to the Mountaineers in their most recent matchup to Robert Morris, conceding a goal in the 82
nd minute to fall 1-0 to the Colonials. The Mount seeks their first score since
Eliot O'Neil's first career strike in the second half of the Binghamton game.
Julian Marcos tallied a career high in saves with nine during the RMU contest.
SCOUTING THE EXPLORERS
La Salle produced two draws in their first three matches, tying Lehigh 1-1 and Rider 2-2. Three different Explorers scored goals this season, with Drew Blackwell, Lucas Kelley, and Oluwatobi Osoba all finding the back of the net. Blackwell adds an assist to lead the team in points. Tino Kneis has registered 18 saves across the three matches so far.
THE ALL-TIME SERIES
The Mountaineers seek their first win against La Salle since 2011, when they defeated the Explorers 5-0. Since then, La Salle won the last three meetings to take a 3-1 series lead.
