Mount St. Mary’s Suffers Late Concession at Robert Morris

EMMITSBURG, Md. (September 1, 2025) – In the 82nd minute, Mount St. Mary's men's soccer conceded a single goal to Robert Morris, which provided the difference in a 1-0 result in the Colonials' favor Monday in Moon Township.

Julian Marcos had a busy day in net, recording nine saves as the defense worked to fend off 21 Robert Morris shots. 13 of those shots landed on goal, meaning team members also played a role in trying to keep the Colonials off the scoreboard.

Robert Morris was able to break through under the 10 minute mark. Kyler Miller recorded his first goal of the season, scoring after collecting a pass in the box from teammates Riley Cotton and William Dodzi Afawubo.

The Mountaineers fall to 0-2-1 this season while the Colonials pick up their first win of the campaign, improving to 1-0-2.

Mount St. Mary's opens their home schedule with a Friday (Sept. 5) evening contest with La Salle. Kickoff is at 7 p.m. from Waldron Family Stadium.
