EMMITSBURG, Md. (August 31, 2025) – Two teams accustomed to facing one another meet outside Pittsburgh on Labor Day, as Mount St. Mary's and Robert Morris face off with each team seeking their first victory of 2025.
MOUNT UPDATE
Despite
Eliot O'Neil notching his first collegiate goal, the Mount made two concessions to Binghamton and fell to the Bearcats 2-1 last Thursday. O'Neil joins
Jack Kehoe as the goal scorers for the Mount this year.
Sherwin Chen added an assist to O'Neil's goal, becoming the third member of the team with an assist, joining
Graham Dougald and
Luciano Schiaffini.
SCOUTING THE COLONIALS
Robert Morris opens its home schedule Monday after securing a pair of road draws. The Colonials went scoreless with Mercyhurst before earning a 2-2 draw against crosstown rival Duquesne. Jack Bejarano and Royie Rahamim posted goals for RMU in the match. Goalie Josh Lane has eight saves registered across the two games.
THE ALL-TIME SERIES
One-time rivals in the Northeast Conference, the Mount and Robert Morris have 29 previous meetings on the books. RMU leads the series, 14-9, with six draws. Last year, the teams met in the first non-conference bout against each other – a 2-2 draw in Emmitsburg.
LOOKING AHEAD
Mount St. Mary's makes their home debut this coming Friday (Sept. 5) when they host La Salle. Kickoff is at 7 p.m. from Waldron Family Stadium.
