MOUNT UPDATE

Sherif Hosni claimed his second MAWPC Defensive Player of the Week Award for his actions at the Navy Open last weekend. Hosni recorded 61 saves against Navy, Salem, MIT, and Connecticut College including a new single-game career, best 22 saves against the Engineers on September 13.

Even with the Mountaineers falling to No. 17 Navy and Division III No. 8 MIT in triple overtime, the team recorded a 22-16 win over Salem and a 20-12 victory over Connecticut College. The Mount posted an even 63-63 goals scored to goals allowed record across the four games in Annapolis last weekend, the most goals the team has scored since the Air Force rare Air Challenge to start September.

Along with Hosni's new career high, Ioannis Skliras and William Matthews also recorded career weekends. Skliras scored 18 goals in four games, including a 10-goal showing against Salem on September 13. While in Annapolis, Matthews recorded 10 scores against opponents, including six-goals against Connecticut College on September 13.

SCOUTING THE OPPONENTS

Salem come into the Bucknell Invitational off the back of a 3-3 weekend at the Navy Open, including a 17-13 upset over the Midshipmen on September 14. The Tigers also recorded a 20-10 win over Wheaton College and a narrow, 15-14 win over MIT. In Annapolis, Salem fell to Princeton, George Washington, and Mount St. Mary's in succession before starting their three-game win streak.

LIU travels to Lewisburg off the back of a 2-1 weekend in Annapolis, recording victories against Wheaton College and Penn State Behrend, while losing to George Washington narrowly by a score of 17-15. Previous to their two-game winning streak, the Sharks were the victims of a seven-game losing streak, falling to Wagner twice, Pacific, Fordham, Navy, and the Mount before ending their streak in Annapolis.

And Fordham arrives in central Pennsylvania off the back of a 5-1 start to the season, recording wins against MIT, No. 18 Harvard, No. 9 Pacific, LIU, and Santa Clara while falling to No. 1 UCLA by a score of 16-9. The Rams have outscored their opponents by a collective score of 107-69.

ALL-TIME RECORD

The Mountaineers hold a record of 4-7 against Salem, a record of 0-10 against Fordham, and a 1-0 record against LIU, with their previous meeting with the Sharks being the first meeting in Mount Program history.
