Justin Vink Announces Resignation as Mount St. Mary’s Head Water Polo Coach

EMMITSBURG, Md. (December 2, 2025) –Mount St. Mary's Head Water Polo Coach Justin Vink is resigning his position, effective December 8, to pursue other professional opportunities.

"Justin has been a fantastic leader for Mount St. Mary's water polo for the last two and a half years. We are grateful for all of his efforts, and we wish him and his wife Cierra all the best in their personal and professional endeavors in Colorado." Director of Athletics Brad Davis said.

Vink has been the coach of the team since 2023 and was at the helm for three men's seasons and two women's seasons. The women's team went 31-29 under his direction and made two appearances at the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) semifinals. The men's team went 24-75 over three years and placed fifth at the Mid-Atlantic Water Polo Championships last month.

"My time at Mount St. Mary's University has been one of the greatest blessings of my life." Vink said. "I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to coach so many remarkable young men and women over the years – individuals who inspired me daily with their character, effort and heart. The Mount will always hold a special place for me, not just for the memories made, but for the people who made them unforgettable."

A search is underway for a new head coach for the programs.
