Serigne Sarre received a Second Team Freshman All-American honor from Perfect Game USA.
Hailing from Takoma Park, Maryland, Sarre emerged as the top starter for the Mountaineers in his debut collegiate season. Logging 72 innings of work, he completed the season with five wins over a 3.50 ERA. His 86 strikeouts led the team and ranked tops in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC). Sarre registered a season-high 13 punchouts in his first-ever game against Norfolk State are the second most for any Mount pitcher in the Division I era.
Mount St. Mary's finished the season on 23 victories and a 15-13 MAAC record, qualifying for the postseason for the second straight year.
