Mitchell Dunham was selected into the Premier Lacrosse League last night. Dunham was selected as the fifth pick in the third round by the Utah Archers.
At the Mount, Dunham made 46 appearances as a defender. In his rookie season, Dunham was named an NEC All-Rookie Team member, leading the team in caused turnovers. In 2023, Dunham was named the MAAC (Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference) Defensive Player of the Year and a First Team All-MAAC member. Dunham helped the Mount achieve top 10 in the country for caused turnovers and was personally ninth in the nation with an average of two per game. In his senior season, Dunham earned a second consecutive spot on the First Team All-MAAC for defense and was selected as an Honorable Mention Preseason All-American from USA Lacrosse and Co-Preseason Player of the Year by the MAAC. Dunham finished his Mount career second all-time in caused turnovers with 86 and tied for ninth in groundballs with 187.
After the Mount, Dunham transferred to Richmond for his graduate season. Dunham ranks third nationally with 37 caused turnovers and has added 48 groundballs in his lone season with the Spiders. Dunham set more records, ranking third all-time for the Spiders in single season caused turnovers. He was named Atlantic 10 Defensive Player of the Week, earned First Team All-Atlantic 10 honors, and was selected to the Atlantic 10 All-Tournament Team.
