Emmitsburg, MD (April 25, 2025) – Three players from the Mount St. Mary's men's lacrosse team have been selected by the MAAC (Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference) for their All-Conference teams this season.
Brody Atkinson was chosen for the All-MAAC Second Team honors, while
Carter Quested and
Marcelo Carreiro have been named to the MAAC All-Rookie Team.
Brody Atkinson led the team in scoring this year for the Mount. Atkinson scored 36 goals this year, with a career-high six in the opening game of the season against Queens. At the beginning of the season, Atkinson went on a six-game multi-goal game streak. Atkinson etched a total of 42 points this season, with six assists, 14 ground balls, and three caused turnovers. He owned a .635 shot on goal percentage, with 61 of his 96 shots on goal.
Freshman
Carter Quested has been unanimously selected for the All-MAAC Rookie Team this season after his 30-goal season. Quested tallied seven multi-goal games, with his career high six in the win against Merrimack. Quested totaled 40 points on the season, with 10 assists, 32 ground balls, and six caused turnovers. Quested earned a .654 shot on goal percentage, hitting the target on 51 of his 78 attempts.
Freshman
Marcelo Carreiro was also named to the All-MAAC Rookie team. Carreiro played in 13 games this season and scored 13 goals. Carreiro hit a career-high in goals against Sacred Heart, with four in the game. Carreiro earned 19 points this season, assisting teammates six times, scooping up six ground balls, and causing three turnovers. Carreiro shot .575 on goal, with 23 of his 40 shots being on the mark.
