EMMITSBURG, Md. (May 29, 2025) – Freshman Brandon Falconer posted a solid showing at the NCAA East First Round, finishing 22^nd out of a possible 48 contenders for the men's javelin.
 
Competing in the third flight at the event in Jacksonville, Falconer finished sixth among his peers with 65.33 meters. The mark came within two meters of the final qualifying distance set by Tennessee's Kevin Burr at 67.40 meters. Moustafa Alsherif from the University of Georgia won the event with a throw of 75.02 meters.
 
The Black River, Jamaica native completes his rookie season with the second best mark in program history, earning 69.02 meters at the Alan Connie Shamrock Invitational in March.
