MOUNT UPDATE: Mount St. Mary's defeated Manhattan, 10-1, in five innings on Tuesday in the second game of a doubleheader to snap a 14-game losing streak. The Mountaineers are now 6-20 overall and 1-4 in the MAAC after the win.Â
Taylor Williams leads the Mount with a .276 average while

ABOUT THE GOLDEN GRIFFINS: Canisius begins MAAC play with the three-game series at the Mount, and the Golden Griffins are 10-12 overall this season. Canisius was won four games in a row, including a 16-8 win over St. Bonaventure at home in their last game on March 20. Ella Johel leads Canisius with a .451 average (32-for-71) with 23 runs scored, four home runs and 21 RBI. Rosie Gomez chips in a .340 average with four home runs and 15 RBI while Bailey Alatorre is hitting .320 with a team-high five long balls. In the circle, Olivia Manchester is 7-0 with a 4.06 ERA in 57.2 innings of work.
ALL-TIME SERIES: Mount St. Mary's is 3-9 all-time against Canisius, including an 0-4 mark in MAAC regular season meetings. The Mount's last win over the Golden Grifins was a 6-5 victory on March 25, 2017, at Our Lady of the Meadows Field. The Mount is 2-4 all-time at home against Canisius, but this will be the first-ever MAAC series between the teams in Emmitsburg.Â
