Mount St. Mary’s, Antoine White Agree to Long-Term Contract Extension

EMMITSBURG, Md. (November 3, 2025) –Mount St. Mary's Head Women's Basketball Coach Antoine White has signed a contract extension to remain in his position through 2030-31.

"I'm beyond thankful to President Joyce and Athletic Director Brad Davis for their trust and commitment to our program's future." Coach White said. "Mount St. Mary's is a place filled with incredible people who believe in something bigger than themselves. Leading this team has been one of the greatest honors of my career, and I'm excited about the direction we're headed. We're not just building a basketball program — we're building a culture of excellence, accountability, and family. The future is bright for Mount women's basketball."

"We are thrilled to announce this extension for Antoine," said Director of Athletics Brad Davis. "Antoine has built the Mount into a program primed to compete at the top of the MAAC. His propensity to recruit and develop student-athletes, coupled with his ability to tailor his coaching based on the talents of his players have stood out since I came to the Mount in 2023. Antoine has developed an identity for his program, and I look forward to working closely with him to continue elevating it into the future."

White has piloted the team's rise in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) since the Mount joined the MAAC for the 2022-23 academic year. Under his watch, the team began its journey in the new league in eighth place, followed by a sixth-place finish in 2023-24 and a fourth-place finish last year. The Mount gave eventual champion Fairfield its toughest MAAC Tournament test this past spring, falling 49-48 in the conference semifinals.

The Mount is picked third in the MAAC's preseason poll for the 2025-26 season.

"Coach Antoine White's leadership and vision for our women's basketball program are exceptional," said President Gerald J. Joyce, Ph. D. "His determination to compete for championships, his commitment to developing confident and successful student-athletes, and his deep appreciation for the Mount's mission make him the right person to lead this program into the future. Under Antoine's leadership, our trajectory is clear and filled with promise."

White led the Mountaineers to a Northeast Conference championship in 2022, going 16-13 with an 11-7 mark in conference play. After defeating Bryant in front of the largest home championship crowd in NEC history, the team almost pulled a 20-point comeback on Longwood in the NCAA Tournament. The squad was one of four teams to make history as participant in the women's inaugural First Four.

This upcoming year marks Coach White's 10th with the program. He started at the Mount under former coach Bryan Whitten and was retained by Maria Marchesano when she took over the program in 2017. Working his way to Associate Head Coach, White was Marchesano's right-hand man when the team captured its first NEC title in 2021. He took the reigns as head coach on March 30 of that year following Marchesano's departure for Purdue Fort Wayne

White has coached seven all-conference players at the Mount, including first-team all-conference selection Jo Raflo and Kendall Bresee. Four players – Raflo, Bresee, and fellow all-conference selections Michaela Harrison and Jessica Tomasetti – scored 1,000 points in their Mount careers.

Mount St. Mary's begins the 2025-26 season at #24 Richmond tomorrow night (Nov. 4) at 6 p.m. The home opener is scheduled for Saturday, November 15 against Morgan State at 3 p.m.
