EMMITSBURG, Md. (November 19, 2025) – After posting their first win of the 2025-26 season, Mount St. Mary's women's basketball gets ready to battle Loyola in the Catholic Clash, looking for two wins in a row.
THE LAST TIME OUT
- A total team effort where 13 players grabbed a rebound and 11 scored helped net a 69-47 win over Morgan State at Knott Arena.
- With an announced crowd of 1,521 fans, the Mount saw its largest regular season attendance since 2013, which was a home game against Loyola.
- Gabrielle Kennerly led with 12 points scored, and Amber Bullard finished with eight rebounds.
- Berylnn Carlson made her return to the lineup following an illness, scoring five points with five rebounds.
- The team amassed 52 rebounds, the most for the team in a single game since 2021 and the most against a Division I opponent since 2015.
- Mount St. Mary's is now 3-2 in home openers under Head Coach Antoine White.
SCOUTING THE GREYHOUNDS
- Loyola comes into the matchup seeking their first victory of the season after enduring some challenging matchups. The Greyhounds have lost to Maryland, La Salle, Virginia Tech, Radford, and Drexel.
- Averaging 48 points per game, Lex Therien is the scoring leader with 13.8 per game. The graduate student also has the most rebounds per game at 8.8 a contest.
- Koi Sims joins Therien as a post presence, scoring 58.6 percent of attempts and grabbing seven boards a game.
THE ALL-TIME SERIES
- Mount St. Mary's and Loyola have met 45 times before. The Mountaineers lead the all-time series, 28-17.
- Since the transition to Division I in 1988-89, Loyola has worked to even the series, winning 13 of 25 matches.
- The two teams met in the Mount's first-ever game – won by the Greyhounds 61-30 on December 4, 1974.
