EMMITSBURG, Md. (May 13, 2024) – Several Mount St. Mary's track & field athletes competed at the 2024 IC4A/ECAC Championships over the weekend, hosted by George Mason.
Point scorers for the Mount included
Arran Fahey, who finished fifth in the pole vault by reaching a height of 4.96 meters.
Ann Marie Oriakhi finished eighth in the discus at 39.98 meters, and
Lorelai Paxton was also eighth, throwing the javelin for 38.73 meters.
Personal records were set by several members of the team.
Maximus Zitnay registered two PR's, with a 10.82 second 100 meter dash and a 22.31 second 200 meter dash.
Trevin McHargh advanced in the 100 meter dash with a time of 10.87 seconds in the preliminaries.
Lucas Koon-Perez, like Zitnay, also hit a PR for the 200 in 22.56 seconds. The hurdles duo of
Will Stephenson and
Joseph Poleate recorded respective times of 14.62 and 14.92 seconds. Joining Fahey in the pole vault was
Tyler Cash, earning a college best mark of 4.56 meters.
