EMMITSBURG, Md. (April 18, 2024) – As the outdoor track season wraps up, Mount St. Mary's track & field splits squads one final time with members traveling to South Carolina and Bucknell.
MOUNT UPDATE: Arran Fahey won the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Men's Field Performer of the Week for the second straight time after improving his effort in the pole vault at the Larry Ellis Invitational. His distance of 4.95 meters ties his second best performance as a Mountaineer and helps him maintain his MAAC lead for the event.
Emelie Beckman also excelled in the women's pole vault, placing second in the league with a mark of 3.65 meters. Javelin throwers
Lorelai Paxton,
Tierney McCarroll, and
Andrew Lamanna all recorded top five conference distances. Paxton and McCarroll joined
Rebecca Weir in the MAAC top five. The past weekend – which featured competitors at James Madison and Princeton – saw several Mountaineers finish in the top five for their events and 23 members set personal records.
NEXT UP: The 2024 outdoor track regular season concludes with the Red Flash Open, hosted by Saint Francis University April 27 in Loretto, Pennsylvania.
