EMMITSBURG, Md. (March 8, 2024) – For their final 2023-24 regular season contest, Mount St. Mary's looks to pick their 10^th Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) victory as they host Saint Peter's.
 
Before the game, the Mount honors eight members of the team as part of Senior Day. Four-year seniors Isabella Hunt, Jada Lee, and Jessica Tomasetti will be honored, along with graduate students KC Carter, Maddie Novak, Aniya Walker, and Jackie Christ, and manager Angie Duncan. The ceremony begins around 12:40 p.m.
 
MOUNT UPDATE
 
The Mountaineers have clinched the sixth seed for the upcoming MAAC tournament and faces the #11 seed Tuesday in the opening round. A win in the finale nets the Mount a 10-10 mark, finishing .500 or better for the fourth time in five seasons.
 
Jessica Tomasetti needs 13 points to eclipse 1,000 for her career and become the 30^th member in program history to do so. Isabella Hunt stands top 60 for scoring among all Mountaineers and holds top 10 class rebounding efforts as a junior and senior. Jada Lee will also finish in the top 100 for scoring.  

SCOUTING SAINT PETER'S
 
Seeding is still on the line for the Peacocks coming into Saturday. A win or a Marist loss at Quinnipiac nets them the 10^th seed for MAAC's. Even with the 7-21 mark, SPU has made strides this year following a winless campaign in 2022-23. Jada Leonard is top 10 in the league for scoring and the Peacocks possess a solid freshman duo of Fatmata Janneh and Carys Roy who play near the basket.

THE ALL-TIME SERIES
 
With 12 prior games contested, the series is deadlocked at 6-6. Mount has won all three games since joining the MAAC, including a 52-49 win in Jersey City several weeks ago.

The #6/#11 game in the MAAC Tournament takes place at 3 p.m. Tuesday, March 12 from Jim Whelan Boardwalk Hall.
