EMMITSBURG, Md. (March 2, 2024) –
Bah Abdoulaye,
Miles Moore, and
Will Stephenson qualified for the finals in their respective races, and
Justin Sluijter won the men's long jump, highlighting Mount's Saturday performances at the 2024 IC4A/ECAC Championships.
Abdoulaye made two qualifications and set a personal record of 21.78 seconds in the 200 meter preliminaries to advance. The Ontario freshman also advanced in the 60 meter dash, earning a semifinal time of 6.99 seconds. Stephenson made it through both the prelims and semifinals for the 60 meter hurdles, running seventh in the opening round at 8.19 seconds and eighth in the semis at 8.25 seconds.
Miles Moore joined Abdoulaye for advancement in the 200m, coming in 12
th place with a 21.95 second showing.
In the 60m,
Alexe Gauthier,
Todd Charles, and
Trevin McHargh all made it past the first round and onto the semifinals.
Joseph Poleate did the same in the 60 hurdles.
Sluijter paced the field events by winning the long jump at 7.35 meters.
Arran Fahey came in third for the pole vault, registering a height of 4.95 meters.
Dante Elliott scored in the high jump, coming in seventh at 1.90 meters. Combined, the trio tallied 18 points and the Mount men are tied for third place at the meet.
Sunday's events begin with the men's triple jump at 10 a.m.
