Anna Kegel scored six times and posted a hat trick in both games, but Mount St. Mary's women's water polo dropped two games Saturday. They fell 15-7 to the Wagner Seahawks and 18-8 to the LIU Sharks.
Mount St. Mary's is now 11-9 this season and 1-2 in Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) play.
Heather Lock had a good performance against LIU, joining Kegel for a hat trick and drawing eight exclusions including one penalty. The exclusions are a game high among Mountaineers this season.
Ana Luisa Cotta had three goals throughout the day and six field blocks, including four against the Sharks in the afternoon game.
Anita Radaelli finished with four assists and drew five exclusions, including in the morning showdown with Wagner.
Taking command early, Wagner shut out the Mount 5-0 in the opening period and led 11-3 by halftime. The second game played more even at first, with the Sharks building an incremental lead of 7-4 at the break. LIU pulled away in the fourth with a seven spot.
The Mountaineers head to New Rochelle, N.Y. next Saturday (March 23) to face Iona and Siena.
