Emmitsburg, MD (October 17, 2024) - The Mountaineers women's rugby team will head to Rhode Island for a NIRA (National Intercollegiate Rugby Association) match up against Brown on Saturday (Oct. 19) at 12 PM.
Mount Update
Last Saturday (Oct. 12) the Mount fell to Long Island University, 56-0. The Mountaineers were looking for life after scoring their first try of the season the week prior against Queens University. Mount St. Mary's had multiple chances to score a try against a strong Long Island team, but were unable to find the try zone. On the road, The Mount will be looking to secure their first win of the season.
Scouting the Bears
Brown is 3-3-1 on the season and won last week against Norwich University, 100-7. In this win, Brown had an impressive ten different players score in the win. Brown's only loss of the season was to one of the top-ranked NIRA teams, Harvard.
Up next for the Mount
The Mount will return home to Echo Field on Saturday, October 26 to kick off against Princeton.
